PARIS HONEYMOON DAY 2 | Louvre Museum

We started our second day in Paris with butterflies in our stomachs – not from newlywed bliss (okay, maybe a little), but from the sheer anticipation of finally visiting the Louvre Museum. As art lovers who've dreamed about this moment for years, we knew we had to tackle this iconic museum early in our honeymoon.
The morning light streaming through the glass pyramid was absolutely magical, and we couldn't help but take about fifty photos before even stepping inside. Once we entered, we were immediately overwhelmed by the vastness of it all. With over 35,000 works of art, we quickly realized our ambitious plan to "see everything" was laughably unrealistic.
We decided to focus on the highlights: the Mona Lisa (smaller than expected but still mesmerizing), the Venus de Milo, and the stunning Egyptian antiquities. What struck us most was how art truly is a universal language – watching visitors from every corner of the world stand in awe of the same masterpieces reminded us why we love traveling so much.
Pro tip: Book your tickets online in advance! We learned this the hard way when we saw the massive queue of people without reservations.
The afternoon flew by as we wandered through the endless corridors, occasionally getting completely lost but discovering hidden gems along the way. By closing time, our feet were screaming, but our hearts were full.
There's something incredibly romantic about experiencing world-class art with your new spouse – it felt like we were building our first shared cultural memory as a married couple.
What's the most memorable museum experience you've had while traveling?
