Hey KhelaMeetsWorld fam!

We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting more babymoon content, and we're finally here with the rundown of Day 3 in Punta Cana! If you haven't already, make sure to watch the full video here to see all the sun-kissed action. This day was all about slowing down, soaking it in, and truly cherishing these last few moments as a dynamic duo before our little one makes their grand entrance.

Morning Bliss & Breakfast Feasts

You know us, no tropical vacation is complete without a massive breakfast. Today, we opted for our resort's main buffet, and let us tell you, it was a spread! From fresh tropical fruits (seriously, the mangoes here are on another level – so sweet and juicy!) to made-to-order omelets and all the classic breakfast pastries, it was a feast for the eyes and the stomach. Samantha, with her pregnancy cravings in full swing, zeroed in on the pancakes and a generous side of fresh pineapple. Amir, ever the predictable one, went for a classic English-style breakfast, complete with beans (don't knock it till you try it, folks!).

One of our favourite parts about resort buffets, especially on a babymoon, is the sheer variety. It means there’s always something for whatever weird craving pops up (and trust us, there have been a few!). Plus, it’s a great way to try local specialities alongside familiar comforts. We found ourselves constantly refilling our plates, making sure we got our money's worth and then some. No regrets!

Beach Walks & Unexpected Discoveries

After fueling up, we headed straight for the beach – our happy place. Punta Cana's beaches are truly breathtaking, with their powdery white sand and impossibly turquoise waters. We took a long, leisurely stroll, feeling the soft sand between our toes and listening to the gentle rhythm of the waves. It’s moments like these, simple and serene, that truly make a babymoon special. No schedules, no rushing, just being present with each other.

During our walk, we stumbled upon something that completely captivated us: a local artisan selling handmade wooden carvings and vibrant paintings right on the beach. We’re always on the lookout for unique souvenirs that tell a story, and these pieces were beautiful. We chatted with the artisan for a while, learning a bit about his craft and the inspirations behind his work. It’s these small, authentic interactions that truly enrich our travels. We ended up picking up a stunning wooden turtle carving – a symbol of longevity and patience – which we thought was perfect for new parents-to-be. It's now sitting proudly in our living room, a beautiful reminder of our babymoon.

Samantha's Babymoon Tip: Don't be afraid to take detours or engage with local vendors. You never know what hidden gems or meaningful connections you might find!

Poolside Relaxation & Lunch Delights

The afternoon called for some serious poolside lounging. We settled into some comfy chairs, shaded from the intense Caribbean sun, and just... relaxed. For Samantha, this meant catching up on some reading (a rare luxury these days!) and just feeling the baby kick. For Amir, it was the perfect opportunity for an afternoon nap – a skill he has perfected over the years!

Lunch was another casual affair by the pool, thankfully within easy reach. We opted for some light bites – a fresh salad for Samantha (gotta get those greens in!) and, of course, some classic fries and a burger for Amir. It might not sound exotic, but sometimes, simple comfort food hits the spot, especially when you're pregnant and have specific cravings. We always find that balancing trying new foods with familiar favourites makes for a more enjoyable and stress-free vacation.

Dinner with a View

As the sun began its descent, painting the sky with incredible hues of orange and pink, we headed to one of the resort's á la carte restaurants. We love a good themed restaurant, and tonight's choice did not disappoint. We enjoyed some delicious food, though we'll admit, the specific details are a bit hazy now between all the babymoon bliss! What we do remember vividly is the wonderful atmosphere, the attentive service, and the sheer joy of sharing a quiet, intimate meal together.

We spent the dinner reflecting on our journey, from our wedding in Vietnam to our life in Mississauga, and now, to this incredible impending adventure of parenthood. It felt poignant, beautiful, and a little bit surreal. These are the conversations that truly make a babymoon, solidifying our bond and preparing us for whatever comes next.

Day 3 in Punta Cana was a beautiful reminder to slow down, to savour the small moments, and to simply be with each other. We’re so grateful for this time and can’t wait to share more of our adventures with you, including the ones with our newest family member!

Don't forget to watch the full video of Day 3 on YouTube! And as always, thank you for being part of our KhelaMeetsWorld family.

Until next time,

Samantha & Amir
