We woke up on day six feeling like we'd finally found our rhythm in Aruba. After bouncing between different beaches all week, we decided to spend a proper day at Eagle Beach – and wow, what a decision that was.

The sand here is impossibly soft and white, stretching for what feels like miles. We claimed our spot under one of the iconic divi-divi trees and just... breathed. There's something magical about having an entire beach that feels almost private, even though it's one of the island's most famous spots. Amir immediately started his usual beach routine of building elaborate sand fortresses (yes, he's 32), while I dove straight into the crystal-clear water.

The highlight of our day was definitely dinner at Gianni's Restaurant. We'd heard mixed things, but honestly? The pasta was incredible. Amir went for the lobster ravioli while I couldn't resist the seafood risotto. The portions were generous enough that we ended up sharing both dishes – something we've gotten really good at during our travels together.

What struck us most was how welcoming the staff was. As an interracial couple, we sometimes get curious looks when we travel, but here in Aruba, everyone has just been so genuinely warm and inclusive. It's refreshing to feel completely at ease exploring a new place together.

The sunset from Eagle Beach was the perfect end to a near-perfect day – all pink and orange hues reflecting off the calm Caribbean waters.

Have you been to Eagle Beach? We'd love to hear about your favorite Aruba spots!
