Our last morning in Bangkok started with one final adventure at Terminal 21, and honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better send-off! This shopping mall is absolutely wild - each floor is themed after a different international city, complete with detailed replicas of famous landmarks. We wandered through "London," grabbed some last-minute snacks in "Tokyo," and Sam picked up some beautiful earrings in the "Istanbul" section.

What struck us most was how this place perfectly captured the multicultural energy we've been feeling throughout our Southeast Asian journey. As an interracial couple, we're always drawn to spaces that celebrate diversity, and Terminal 21 felt like a love letter to global connection. Plus, the food court on the top floor served up some of the best pad thai we've had all week - and trust us, we've been doing our research!

The flight to Hanoi was smooth, though we'll admit we were both buzzing with nervous excitement. Sam's been talking non-stop about finally experiencing her Vietnamese heritage firsthand, while Amir's been researching the best pho spots (typical!). As our plane descended over the Red River Delta, seeing those emerald rice paddies stretching endlessly below us, we knew we were about to embark on something really special.

Vietnam, here we come! Sam's already practicing her Vietnamese phrases with the flight attendants, and we can't wait to dive headfirst into the culture, food, and stories that await us.

Have you ever visited a place that felt deeply personal? We'd love to hear about your own heritage journeys in the comments!
