Well, that escalated quickly! We're sitting in Charles de Gaulle airport right now, and honestly, we're not sure if we're going to make it home to Toronto today. What was supposed to be a simple PCR test before our flight turned into an absolute nightmare that had us questioning everything.

So here's what happened: we booked our PCR tests at what we thought was a reputable clinic near our hotel in the 7th arrondissement. The website looked legit, the reviews seemed decent, and the price was reasonable. Red flag number one should have been how easy it was to get same-day appointments when everywhere else was booked solid.

We showed up this morning, groggy but excited to head home after an incredible week in Paris. The honeymoon has been absolutely magical - from our sunset dinner cruise on the Seine to getting lost in the Louvre together. But then the test results came back, and let's just say... things got complicated fast.

Without going into too much detail (we'll save that for Part 2!), let's just say that navigating healthcare bureaucracy in a foreign country while dealing with language barriers is stressful enough without adding the pressure of potentially missing your flight home. Samantha's Vietnamese came in handy when we met another confused traveler, but our high school French definitely wasn't cutting it with the medical staff.

We're learning that even the best-planned trips can throw you curveballs. Have you ever had travel plans go sideways at the last minute? We'd love to hear your stories!
