After our incredible first day exploring Jasper's downtown core, we knew we had to tackle one of the park's most iconic experiences - the Jasper Skytram. Let us tell you, this wasn't just a scenic ride; it was absolutely breathtaking in every sense of the word.

The seven-minute gondola ride up Whistler's Mountain had us both glued to the windows, watching the Athabasca Valley unfold below us. Samantha kept pointing out the different shades of green in the forest canopy, while Amir was busy trying to spot wildlife through the trees. Pro tip: sit on the right side of the gondola for the best valley views!

Once we reached the upper station, we decided to push ourselves further and hike the remaining trail to Whistler's Summit. Fair warning - this isn't a casual stroll. The 1.4km trail gains about 200 meters in elevation, and the thin mountain air definitely had us breathing harder than usual. But the 360-degree views from the summit? Absolutely worth every huffing step.

What struck us most was how small we felt up there - two people from different backgrounds, standing together at 2,464 meters above sea level, sharing this incredible moment. The vastness of the Canadian Rockies really puts life into perspective.

Our biggest tip: Start early to avoid crowds and bring layers. The temperature difference between the base and summit can be dramatic, even in summer.

Have you ever taken the Skytram? We'd love to hear about your Whistler's Summit experience!
