We can't believe we're already at week 15 of our Southeast Asia adventure! Time really does fly when you're constantly on the move, but we've learned so much about sustainable long-term travel that we had to share.

One of our biggest realizations? Slow travel is everything. Those first few weeks, we were bouncing between cities every 2-3 days, trying to see it all. Exhausting doesn't even begin to cover it. Now we're staying put for at least a week in each place, and it's been a game-changer for both our budget and our sanity.

Food has become our greatest teacher – and biggest expense if we're not careful! Sam's Vietnamese helps us navigate local markets like pros, while Amir's learned that his Punjabi spice tolerance actually comes in handy here. We've discovered that eating where locals eat isn't just cheaper; it's where the real cultural exchange happens. Those Google Translate conversations over street food have been some of our most memorable moments.

Laundry strategy is real. We're down to doing laundry every 4-5 days now, and we've mastered the art of packing one clean outfit in our day bag just in case our clothes aren't dry when we need to check out.

The biggest surprise? How much our relationship has strengthened. Being together 24/7 in unfamiliar places has taught us new ways to communicate and support each other.

What's been your biggest learning curve during extended travel? We'd love to hear how you've adapted on the road!
