Spain Day 12 | KMW Mallorca Escape | Palma’s Historic Heart & Beachside Dinner

We started our twelfth day in Spain by diving deep into Palma's old town, and honestly, we weren't prepared for how magical it would feel. The narrow cobblestone streets seemed to whisper stories from centuries past as we wandered hand in hand, getting completely lost in the best possible way.

The Cathedral of Santa María absolutely took our breath away – those Gothic spires reaching toward the Mediterranean sky felt almost surreal. Amir kept joking that his photography skills couldn't possibly capture the grandeur, while Sam was busy sketching details in her travel journal that she swore she'd forget otherwise.

What struck us most was how welcoming everyone was. As a mixed couple, we sometimes wonder how we'll be received in new places, but Palma embraced us with such warmth. The elderly gentleman at the local café insisted on teaching us proper Spanish pronunciations, and the shopkeeper at the ceramics store shared stories about her own multicultural family.

By evening, we'd worked up quite an appetite exploring every nook and cranny of the historic quarter. We found this incredible beachside restaurant where the sound of waves mixed perfectly with clinking glasses and laughter. Fresh seafood, local wine, and that golden hour lighting made for one of those dinners you never want to end.

There's something about sharing paella while watching the sunset paint the Mediterranean that makes you feel incredibly grateful for these moments together.
