Switzerland to Mallorca Day 8 | KMW | Bern Bears & Island Resort Retreat

Our last day in Switzerland couldn't have been more perfect! We started early in Bern, wandering through the charming old town to visit the famous bear park. Watching these magnificent creatures in their spacious enclosure felt like the ideal farewell to this incredible country. The medieval architecture surrounding us reminded us why Switzerland has captured our hearts – there's something magical about cities that honor their history while embracing the future.

As we strolled through Bern's cobblestone streets, we couldn't help but notice how naturally diverse the city felt. Coming from Toronto, we're used to multiculturalism, but European cities sometimes surprise us with their welcoming energy. A local café owner even struck up a conversation about our travels, sharing his own stories of adventure.

By afternoon, we were island-bound – trading Alpine views for Mediterranean bliss as we arrived in Mallorca! The contrast couldn't be more dramatic. From snow-capped peaks and precision Swiss timing to palm trees and that laid-back Spanish island vibe. Our resort overlooks crystal-clear waters, and we've already claimed our spot by the infinity pool.

Tonight, we're planning to explore the local nightlife and maybe find some authentic paella. It's fascinating how quickly you can shift from one European culture to another – each with its own rhythm, flavors, and energy.
