Jamaica 2024 | Babymoon | Ocho Rios

We never imagined our babymoon would involve so much laughter, but here we are in Ocho Rios, and Amir keeps joking that our little one is already getting their passport stamped in utero. At 28 weeks pregnant, we knew this would be our last hurrah as a couple before becoming a family of three, and Jamaica has been the perfect choice.

The warm Caribbean waters have been incredibly soothing for my growing belly, and we've spent most mornings floating together in the crystal-clear sea. Amir's been surprisingly protective, constantly asking if I need more sunscreen or water – it's sweet seeing this nurturing side of him emerge.

Dunn's River Falls was definitely a highlight, though we opted for the gentler viewing areas rather than the full climb. Watching other couples navigate the rocks together reminded us how we've always been a team, tackling adventures side by side. Now we're just adding a tiny teammate to our crew.

The local cuisine has been incredible – we've been indulging in fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and the most amazing jerk chicken (pregnancy cravings approved!). The resort staff has been so accommodating with my dietary needs, and we love how welcoming everyone has been to us as a couple.

There's something magical about being here together, knowing our next big trip will include a car seat and diaper bags. We're soaking up these quiet moments of just being us while dreaming about the adventures ahead as a family.
